Canine Training and Behaviour, and Agility

Dog causing mayhem? Need to build your relationship? Is 'man's best friend' being your worst enemy? Want to have some fun with your dog?

Animal Magic are pleased to offer both private one to one and restricted number group classes, for all your dog training and behaviour needs.

Private sessions can be held in your own home in Gloucestershire, out and about, or at the training hall based in Upton St Leonards, and are tailored to meet your individual requirements. Group training sessions in everyday good manners are held in the training hall in Upton St Leonards and group agility classes are held in the outdoor arena in Elmstone Hardwicke. We soon hope to offer the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme, details of this popular national training programme can be found here

Animal Magic Trainer Claire Stewart, who also runs Animal Magic Gloucester, has vast experience both with her own dogs from a child through to the present day, and through other training schools. Claire was invited to start taking classes at Forest of Dean Dog Training Club at the start of 2003, and later that year also began teaching at Cheltenham and District Dog Training Club - where she remains a dedicated committee member and trainer. Claire decided to complement this practical teaching experience with academic and practical study. Claire graduated from Bishop Burton College with full distinctions and a HNC in Canine Behaviour and Training in November 2005. She then followed this with a further four years study and graduated from Bishop Burton College/Hull University with a full honours degree (BSc) in Canine Behaviour & Training in 2010 - one of the first ten in the country to do so. As well as academic studies, Claire attends various seminars and practical handling courses on dog related matters.

It is Animal Magic's intention that you and your dog build and maintain a great relationship based on fun, good manners and an understanding of how dogs really work.
(Claire does not recommend or use any aversive equipment or techniques.).
